GENUS goes to the synchrotron

Jennifer Botha from GENUS is currently collaborating with two teams using the European Synchrotron Research Facility. The first is a project led by Dr Elis Newham on mammaliamorph growth using cementum in teeth and the second is a project led by Zoe Kulik and Roger Benson from the American Museum of Natural History on basal amniote bone histology. Jennifer’s PhD student and a GENUS bursary recipient, Enele Twala joined the team to scan several extinct reptiles for her PhD project. The time at the ESRF was well spent and the results exciting. Stay posted as these projects develop!
