A podcast that explores the journey of writing, revising and resubmitting your first academic paper

Revise, Rebut and Resubmit is a weekly, for 12 weeks per season, podcast hosted by Prof Jennifer Fitchett. It celebrates early career researchers’ first academic papers and explores the journey they travelled from writing to publication. The aim of this podcast is to demystify the academic writing process and empower students and early career researchers to become more confident and engaged players in the academic writing space. The podcast interviews a new guest each episode, many of whom are early career researchers, but occasionally we speak with journal editors, sci-fi writers, and science communicators. Interviewees discuss the process of writing drafts of their manuscripts, editing their work responding to reviewer’s comments, and the celebration when their first paper is published. The podcast highlights the challenges and the feelings of reward that come from publishing her research, and through demystifying the publication process, empowers emerging researchers to take a leadership role in turning their work into a paper.
